History of the WBO
The Assoc. of Women Business Owners of the Lower Mainland BC
1978-2008
Celebrating 30 Years of Women in Business

Background: The Association of Women Business Owners (WBO) is one of the longest established women's business groups in Canada. From a modest beginning in 1978, we now enter our 30th year of supporting and encouraging women in business. We achieve this very simply, through regular dinner meetings held at The Terminal City Club with topical presentations from leading speakers and business people that can offer practical and applicable business ideas to help your business grow and prosper. While learning, you are surrounded by great women to network with and share an evening of gourmet food with lavish surroundings and excellent service.

Who Attends:
You are welcomed at WBO dinner meetings and special events, whether you have an established business and are looking for opportunities to network and learn how to grow further, or are just thinking to start a business and are seeking advice and contacts. There are many opportunities to mentor and be mentored within the group.

Event Format:
The WBO meets regularly (about 8 times per year) at The Terminal City Club, 837 West Hastings St. (downtown at Burrard /Hastings). Evenings are usually Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 6-9pm. The cost is $42 for members and $52 for non-members. Membership is $85/year, a nominal fee to support WBO initiatives. Click here for this year's dates.

See you soon, and often!
